Festive Greetings
Once again this year has lived up to all expectations and 2009 is going to be a promising year for Tails Up, with the launch of the New Bait, the devastating Pro Fish! it is going to be launched on the 3rd of MARCH 09, available to pre order from mid february. Its been a very exiting 2 years in the making and now the finished product is one that will rival any bait on the market, the sheer amount of rod hours and fish caught leaves us in no doubt that this bait is going to send shock waves through the industry!
It doesnt end there though a new ready to use stick mix range is in its final stage of testing, and a special range of zig rig pop ups will be released for the new year!
thanks to all the people who have submitted pics and articles for the new catalogue, keep them coming the closing date for those competitions will be 1st February 09.

another very strong month which lead to a very close decision but it has to go to Steven Williams with a personal best and lake record common and that after a personal best mirror the previous trip, a very well done and good to see the Liver still producing the goods!
Team Tails Up
If you haven’t noticed already we now have a Team Tails Up page, the team consists of anglers who have been with the company years to some that have only just joined us in the last year, you will notice a rather young age group but these lads and girls are the future of our sport and we rely on these guys to bring ideas and promote the company in the best way possible, catching fish! they are also important in product development and more importantly helping us stay one step ahead of the rest! We are always on the lookout for dedicated anglers who can offer something to Tails Up, so if you’re reading this an you think you can be one of those people then drop us an email with your contact information and details and we will endeavour to see if you would fit into our Team.

We are holding a competition for one lucky persons photo to go on the front of Tails Ups 2009/10 catalogue, if you think you have the pic then email it to us and the lucky winner will have their pic printed on the front of the catalogue and win themselves a £100 bait voucher prize!

New Online Catch Report Form
The Online Competition has started well with some awesome captures being reported, even though theres a few hush hush ones that we cant shout about for the time being...
To go with the Online Competition there is now an Online Catch Report Form for you to fill in and submit so keep those catch reports coming!!
With the Robins starting their autumn Corus, the shortening days and heavy due on the grass in the mornings its now time to plan your winter campaigns, if you havent used the OCM in the past then its a great time of year to give it a go! The Winter Mix, Pin & Ban, is once again available, a great choice for those wanting an instant winter bait.

Introducing The Pro Fish
Since its release to the dedicated fieldtesters early last year, this bait has been dominating lakes since its first introduction; you only have to look at the pages in the weekly mags to see how many big fish have fallen to the bait since its initial development. The amount of P.Bs that have been broken using this bait is truly staggering.
So mush so that we our now inundated with requests on when its going to be released, the answer? the early part of 2009. A date to be confirmed later this year!
One lake that that it has totally dominated in the last 12 months is the Manor (Essex), with the largest resident being the famous Annie, it has been caught no less than 5 (yes five) times on the bait in the last year, thats out of 9 captures and 2 out of the 4 other times, it came to spots that had been baited no more than 48hours previously with the Pro Fish. That may seem a bold statement but its fact!
This really is a bait that has been tested on some of the hardest waters around, with growing reputation, you can be sure once its general release that you will be using one of the finest baits available on the market!

Hot of the press...!!!!
Young Ben Owen has hit the jackpot not once but three times over the last month! the first one came in the shape of his 1st 40lber, from the tricky swan valley lake, then only on his second session on the legendary Horton Church lake he managed to net himself a 40+ grass carp of the top, unfortunately before i could get to his swim to take the photos and even before he weighed it.... it launched itself out of the net only to escape down the margin and back into the depths! The following weekend Ben returned, managing to get on some showing fish, he soon had none other than the mighty Shoulders in the net, and fortunately he did get photos of that one!
thats a proper result! well done Ben
if that wasnt enough, the Annie has once again fallen to the soon to be released Pro fish!

New Bait Sizes
Tails Up are pleased to now offer 2 new sizes to go allong side the 10,14,18mm,Small (10/14) and Large Dumbells ( 14/18 ) in the Fresh Frozen Bait Range!
22mm and XL Dumbells (18/22) are now available, note they are rolled to order so please allow 5 working days for delivery in busy periods.
Catalogue
It’s been great to hear that the catalogue has been so well received, and we’re definitely off and running now for the new season, having sent over a ton of bait out last week alone “and it’s only the beginning of April”.
The lads have been doing the business on the bank as well, with some massive fish coming out in the last few weeks (See the catch report pages for details). It seems nearly every other day we’re receiving catch reports of 30 & 40lb fish on the bait. Fish like the 40lb Common Lee Lynch had out of Amwell, a lake record Common and a new PB for Lee & Matt Jackson banking Shaun’s fish, a new forty for the Roach Pit, Hampshire and another PB for Matt.
We really do appreciate all the catch reports that get sent in to us and in to Carp Talk for our competition, so keep up the good work.

Bout time to...
On Sunday afternoon, I had a voicemail message from Ash that went something like “I’ve had her mate... F@*kin had her... 58Lb.....Awesome........ Call me!!”
So the end of mission, one that started just under 3 years ago and ended during the 1st night back on the lake in nearly 5 months. At 58lb on the nose, the Annie is currently one of the biggest Carp in the country and the fish of a lifetime by anyone’s standards.

Just a little bit behind schedule but I think you’ll agree, well worth the wait. Everybody on our database should have already received a copy, but if you haven’t, or have recently changed your address then please use the “sign up” facility on the home page.
Having completely lost track of the hours we spent writing, proof reading and laying it out, I’d just like to say a big thank you to Tony at M-Press for his tireless efforts “a man with patients of a saint”, and to Luke & Jo for two great articles.

There's definitely something brewing, a buzz around the workshop at the minute.
As our Winter hibernation draws to a close, it's time to start thinking about the coming season and what lies in wait for us. Only this week we've placed an order for 2 new rolling machines, which will enable us to offer you a wider range in the size and shapes of our bait. Full of Christmas cheer are we? Well if you’ve got any sense, and are planning on getting away for a bit of fishing over the holidays then you’ll need to get your orders in by Tuesday 18th as the last day we’re sending out bait is Wednesday 19th December. We well still be able to take your orders but any taken after the 18th will be sent out on the 3rd January.

LAKE PB FOR TAILS UP 1ST ONLINE CUSTOMER
Brian Riggs was Tails Up’s first customer to order on line, and also new to the bait. He received the delivery on Thursday last week. A few days later and the first time using Tails Up, he banked the fish know as Orange Scale at over 38lb followed by 2 more mid 20lb fish on Cemex’s Roach Pit in Hampshire. See the pictures and read about it on our recent captures page. Good angling and a massive well done to Brian, surely the early sign’s of a great year to come.
