Tackle and Rig: century ng,s 12ft 3lb tc shimano big pit lc,s.spoold up with 15ib nash bullet,6ft 45lb esp leadcore,3oz korda flat pear leads,set up free running,nash big eye ring swivel,with 8 inches 18lb korda super natural,nash size 8 twisters

Story: this fish is part of a two fish haul taken within the same week.fishing a part of the river ouse at the lower section of bedford town center.which is extremely slow flowing wide and around 10ft deep,this particuler section is locked of at either end of this 2 and half mile stretch,with a marina situated half way between the two,which made location pretty easy,with fishing only being accesable via one bank only,which is free fishing,but has a very busy footpath along its banks,the most obviouse target was to fish the far bank lilly pads oposite the mouth of the marina,fishing large 22mm baits to avoid nuisence fish,but in saying that two small double commons took a liking to large provait livers as did a lovely 28lb 4oz mirror.other larger fish have been seen and lost by myself on this untapped section of river,both the common and the mirror,wer caught during daylight hours during hot periods,when bites wasnt expected,with the nightimes being unusally quiet
