Bait: Other Pro fish 14mm bottom bait fished back to back with two half baits

Tackle and Rig: Heli rig fished with a 6ft length of leadcore, a 3inc Atomic hooklink and a size 8 hook

Story: I caught this fish after spooking in the day before on the same spot i had been baiting for a few weeks. I had it feeding on chops almost on the drop that i was throwing in from up a tree. I put the rig in at the wrong time and managed to spook it. That night i baited the spot and came back for a look the next morning. After putting the rig on the spot not really expecting anything to happen (as there had been no sign of fish in the area) the big leather came back in and started feeding with another small common. After ten mins of watching it feed from up a tree the fish shook its head and i was falling out of the tree to grab the rod. This fish is my 1st 30 from the venue after a long run of the lakes smaller fish. The fish is also the biggest leather in the lake and the most unusual looking fish i have ever caught. Thanks to Ash for the bait. Pro fish doing the biz down my way once again!
